A Little Birdie Told Me..

Hi everyone! Finally, I can say that I'm really back. No more morning sickness, marriage preparations or honeymoons. The continuously warm weather is forcing me to stay indoors where I spend a lot of time making cards. Last week I got my Silhouette for which I had been saving money for quite a while. But I finally got it and started exploring its (endless, as I found out) possibilities. Of course I had to try it for this new creation for Scrapcorner. The paper is from Kaisercraft and called Hey Birdie! The entire theme and the paper aren't what I was used to work with but it was a fun exercition to work "outside my box" and I'm happy with the result. I'm curious to know what you all think though!
Assuming that many if not all of you are actually enjoying the warm weather, I wish you all sunny days.

Our Wedding!

Last wednesday, the 2nd of June, after one year of preparations, I finally got married! Of course, as with every wedding, there was a lot to worry about. I had to fit into my dress being 20 weeks pregnant which, given the pictures below, went just fine. And as if the days just before the grand day weren't filled with enough anxiety the weather gods topped that with clouds and rain. But the forecasts turned and the very morning of our wedding I opened the curtains only to see a beautiful blue sky. Looking back at that day I'm overwhelmed by all the special moments that occurred. It is so special to stand there in front of all your loved ones and publically choose for a person to share the rest of your life with. In all, it was a day like a fairytale to cherish forever. Thank you very much everyone for sending your sweet congratulations. We were really heartwarmed by all the lovely creations that we received which currently decorate our sideboard!
Our arrival at the castle, walking from the coach house towards the courtyard.
And then two persons had to say "I do" (or "ja", in Dutch) to make it official!
