Lazy Saturday

I've been looking for my mojo since my wedding invitations were finished. Unfortunately, I still seem to be nowhere near it. I wanted to make a nice envelope but really struggled to get the right combination of materials. After some hours of frustration I finally gave up new attempts to go in a different direction. So I left it the way it is now. It's not a masterpiece but I wanted to share it with you anyway. This afternoon, all of the necessary arrangements for our marriage have been taken care of with the exception of a couple of loose ends. The weather forecast says it is going to be a beautiful day so it's time to go out and enjoy every bit of it!
Several weeks ago already, I received an award from:
Karin, Ine and Elisabeth whom I thank very much for awarding me. I'm supposed to tell ten things about myself and forward it to ten other persons. I hope everyone understands that I've been really busy recently. So, anyone who hasn't received these three awards should feel free to accept it.
These two Sweet Awards from Karin also came my way:
I hope everyone will have the same beautiful weather and the time to enjoy it.
Have a lazy Saturday you all!

Our Wedding Invitations

Hi everyone!
Finally, as promised and after some time, here is the reason why I had locked myself up last month: my wedding invitations! It took me months to come to a definitive design. I tried the concept in February as a Valentine's card for my fiance. We both liked it a lot so there was the basis to go on. I then had to find the right colours and paper which I was afraid would be difficult. At the "Knotsgekke Kaartendagen" in Den Bosch I stumbled upon the perfect paper called "I do" by Making Memories.
To avoid running out of wedding cake I blurred part of the invitation ;-)
The label that keeps the front panel up has a special touch. The text says (transl. from Dutch): "My daddy and mommy are getting married" revealing the little secret we've been keeping for the last three months. We decided that this card could be a fun way of telling our guests the merry news!

Breaking News

Some of you may have noticed that I was a little bit absent during the last few weeks. I have been working on my wedding invitations of course, which I will post here later this week. But there is also something else that I wanted to share with you. I've been keeping a tiny little secret for the last 13 weeks: I'm pregnant! All is going fine, I'm not nauseous; I've just been very tired and so unable to make my usual amount of cards next to the wedding invitations. Now that these last are finished I'll try to focus on posting my regular creations more frequently here in between the preparations for our wedding on June the 2nd! Oh my, just 7 weeks left...!

Special Offer to Share

Hi everyone! My celebration candy is closed and a winner has been chosen, and sadly with that the opportunity to win such a great item for any card maker to add a personalising touch to their creations. But all is not lost! After some deliberation with Scrapcorner we decided that it might be a great idea to make a special offer. Normally Scrapcorner charges € 9,95 (plus € 0,50 shipping costs within the Netherlands) for a name stamp. Instead of the usual € 10,45 they are now offered for only € 9,00 (which includes shipping within the Netherlands) until April the 15th of 2010. All you have to do is mention my name (Milnie or Mélanie) with the order. The amount will be adapted later, so don’t forget to refer to this offer! You can find the stamps here! Have a great weekend and happy egg hunting!
