Bitter Sweet Hugs
Just a quick post in between the last preparations for the wedding. It seems as if the weeks are now passing faster than ever before. Just two more weeks to go; I'm already feeling the nerves. This weekend we've been away with family to celebrate my mother's birthday. It was a wonderful time together in a holiday park with swimming pools, boats and a zoo. Just before we left I found the time to make a card. Normally I would not combine pink and red but I simply fell in love with this Bitter Sweet paper from Basic Grey. The stamp and flower were finished with some rhinestones.
Have a nice evening everyone!

Happy Mother's Day!
Last week I came across an amazing card on someone's blog. It caught my attention right away because it had something of a magician's trick. When you pull the ribbon on one side of the card, not only there did a label come out but also on the opposite side! I just couldn't figure out how someone could make a card with this built-in mechanism. Fortunately the owner of the blog (I'm so sorry - in all my enthusiasm I forgot to write down her blog name and address) referred to a video tutorial which turned out to be Dawn Griffith's. It may look difficult to create something like this, but I for one can assert the contrary. It took me less than two hours to make my own "Slider Card".
This particular card was made for Mother's Day which we celebrated last Sunday, in the Netherlands. Hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as my mother did!
