Feeling ill...
Just a few words to let you know that I've fallen ill. I'm sorry I haven't been as responsive as usual and I also can't make cards for a few days but I promise to be back really soon!

Spring sentiments in Autumn
Hi!
Here'a a quick post before I go to sleep and go on my weekend to Germany! After the last post I didn't really find time anymore to respond to all the sweet comments, so sorry for that! But they are appreciated no less! As I wrote last time, here is a card with hand-made embossing. The sketch is from the Just Magnolia Challenge.
The sketch from the Just Magnolia Challenge:
The stamp I used is a Magnolia stamp from the Fortune Collection called "Tilda with Clover" And the paper is again from the cheap shop called "Action"

Gorjuss Lovely Girl..
Today I decided to make something with my embossing stencils, I haven't been using them for quite a while. Ever since I started working with scrap cards I found it rather difficult to combine both these techniques. But after admiring a lot of beautiful creations made with the nestabilities by so many of you it occurred to me that I might be able to do the same thing but just by hand. For all of you out there looking for the tools to incorporate nestabilities mechanically, I found out today that it is possible to do it all by hand. It's not a straightforward job though and I'm guessing that as always, practice makes perfect. I embossed the rims and then continued embossing the nearby inner surface. You don't have to treat the entire surface as the area near the outer borders is really sufficient to create that 3D effect. It worked out nicely for the card below, however, I found that it doesn't really come off in the photograph. I promise to post a second card in the next few days which will give you a more convincing glance! Altogether, nestabilities remain on my wishlist because they are simply that much easier to use ;-)
I searched for a nice sketch and found one on the Paperplay Challenge.
The sketch from the Paperplay Challenge:
The card is made with paper like many of my other cards, from the incredibly low-budget paper and a ribbon from the local store called "Action" -=voor de Nederlanders onder ons=- (I would love to hear any of the anglophones say that in Dutch out loud ;-) ). The stamp is from Sugar Nellie, Gorjuss Girls called "Little Goth Girl". It's hard to see but I wanted to give the space around the stamp a bit of colour so I used a blue coloured chalk.

Cow with a grateful heart
Hi everyone,
When I woke up this morning, it was cold and rainy. Not quite the weather to go outside but what a perfect lazy sunday for making cards! The Crazy 4 Challenges asks for a Thank You card which got me thinking and I eventually came up with another black & white card. The sketch is from the Papertake Weekly Challenge.

Celebration Bella
Hi anyone!
Today I wanted to make a birthday card because two challenges asked for celebration cards: the Saturday Challenge and the Creative Card Crew Challenge. Crazy 4 Challenges ask for Stitched creations. I searched for a nice sketch and found one on the blog of Sketch Saturday. They wanted a creation with animals but I couldn't find a stamp for that so I only used the sketch! The card I made:
The sketch from Sketch Saturday:
The paper is from the Clare Curd Signature Range Big One paper pack and I used a Stamping Bella stamp called "Cakeabella"coloured with Derwent Coloursoft pencils. The stitches were made, as always ;-) , by hand.

Black and White Sweety!
Today a was a bit stuck on ideas which somehow didn't come out the way I imagined them. I wanted to make something different, but didn't know what. After several disappointing attempts I decided to make a card in black and white. I found a sketch on the challenge blog of the lili of the valley and started getting something done. The result is this card below, which I am not entirely satisfied about, but which I wanted to share with you anyway.

Nephews First Birthday!
Something to celebrate this week; my nephew Yannick will turn one this Thursday! A perfect reason to make a new card today. I was really happy when I found out that the theme of the Cute Card Thursday Challenge was First..... (Anniversery, Kiss, Birthday...). So that was an easy one! I found a beautiful sketch from the Friday Sketchers Challenge to make the following birthday card! I usually photograph my cards when there is sunlight but the days are becoming shorter and darker and I was too excited to wait until tomorrow before sharing it ;-)
